I Graduated On Saturday…YAY!

ESCU graduation program - CopyWell, it’s official.  Last Saturday morning I was conferred my Bachelor of Science degree in Cultural Studies.  I woke up that morning happy and excited.  Graduation ceremony was beautiful.  My mother, brother, sister and two dear friends were there to see me walk out onto the stage when my name was called.  The president of the college, Dr. Merodie Hancock, placed a huge medal hanging from a ribbon over my head.  See photo below.  The photo above is a snapshot of my name in the graduation program.

The actual degree is forthcoming in the mail.  My father was not able to make it because of ill-health, but he sent me a beautiful card and a lovely gift.

graduation day 7You can’t see me, but I am in the middle of the fourth row.

graduation day 6

After graduation my family and I went back to my house for a celebration lunch catered by Karavalli Indian Cuisine.  I ordered the cake from Coccadotts Cake Shop.  In 2013 Coccadotts won $10,000.00 on the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars.

Now that it is all over I am breathing sighs of relief!
