My Shabby Chic Kitchen
Updated photos of my kitchen are by Neil Grabowsky of TTL Studios based in Montclair, New Jersey.
My kitchen is huge and the ceiling is very high. I really must get that sink skirt made to cover up the stuff underneath it.
There is actually a fireplace in my kitchen. If you look to the right at the table that my blender is on you will see a piece of white board behind it covering up the fireplace. I do not have a damper so it is covered up for now so that nothing comes down the chimney. Once when it was uncovered a bat came flying down….eek! My first house had a big cooking hearth in it which I miss so much. So I do want to get this fireplace working. It would be so nice during the winter to come home and be able to feel the warmth of the fireplace while I am cooking dinner.
My kitchen gets a lot of light.
The two opened shelf kitchen cabinets were originally bookcases that I bought for $15.00 each at a thrift store. I couple of coats of white paint and they were ready to use as kitchen cabinets.
My collection of cookbooks.
