Interior Decor Adjustment

I was taking a serious look at my home decor recently.  I LOVE the Shabby Chic style and it is indeed my favorite.  My kitchen, dining room and both bathrooms reflect that, but I find that I have strayed quite a bit away from that in my other rooms.  It does not look bad and I actually like it, but it also does not reflect what I really love so I will be working on that effective immediately.  I do not like for everything to be white, but I do like white to be the main color scheme.  I like having a few pieces of furniture here and there that are not painted white.  I also like pastel pinks, blues, greens and yellows as accent colors.

    I looked at the photos of your brownstone and it is fabulous! What a labor of love, indeed, but you are doing a wonderful job. It is so lucky that you came along to save it! Such great architecture and I love your tall ceilings. I look forward to seeing more photos of the house!
    I totally understand about Ikea- mine is an hour and a half away. I have heard a lot of great things about this sofa, so I hope you can find a way to get one!
    I looked up Troy, and if you are ever going by Hudson, NY- which doesn’t look too far away, be sure to stop into my friend Jocie’s shop Red Chair Antiques. She moved from a new by town here in New Hampshire to Hudson and her store is fabulous and a wonderful place for inspiration. I miss it so much.
